In the world of Red Bull, awesome doesn’t even start to describe the annual Flugtag, Soapbox or Rapids events. Every year, a group of pilots, racers or sailors get together to join in the madness with jumping off bridges, racing down raging rapids or fly across race tracks. Red Bull needed a digital activation that mirrored the energy and buzz around their on-site events. We loved the challenge and opportunity this presented us.
The entire Flugtag, Soapbox and Rapids websites were, of course, 100% responsive – a must-have when you're dealing with a wide audience who connect on a multitude of devices. The visual design translated the mood of the event; fun, creative and high energy. The functionality and development allowed for a ‘mix and match’ approach to different modules and use on a global scale in localized versions.
This project was more than the global website system and toolkit for the Flugtag, Soapbox and Rapids events. LOOP also undertook the full digital activation of events; from help with implementing live streams, alternative mobile solutions in tough wifi conditions, live scoring at events and other competitions. It was all hands on deck to make sure a wide audience around the world felt part of the action.
This needed to live world-wide and in many languages, Red Bull always takes a truly global approach. We offered continuous 24/7 support to every country team hosting an event and additional on-site support when requested. The website and functionalities needed to be easily localized and implemented in a variety of situations and conditions. With so many live features and content updates, we found a top system.
